  2. in an extremely focused manner

The citations originally offered in support of these seemed to fit at least as well under the other definition ("at full capacity"). Another sense was of a noun, now split needing a definition. I don't see "focus" (or lack thereof) as part of this at all. It would seem difficult to distinguish challenged sense 1 from the sense not challenged, but citations might make it possible.
