On the Wallace Stevens quote I just added, there's a note by the editor in the edition I've got (Collected Poetry & Prose), which provides a definition not quite the same as our ones:

"Doleful; portending death or evil."

Etymology 2: "nonstandard" form of funnest (most fun). Should probably be "misspelling of". In either case, can we confirm that it's common enough to merit an entry, etc.? Equinox 01:46, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
