irregular/colloquial[edit]

As far as I know, this word is more of a tongue-in-cheek colloquial usage than a normal or regular usage. I only see citations from book titles and a sole in-text citation. Should the irregular or unsual usage be noted in the definition entry? Nicole Sharp (talk) 07:00, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if colloquial is the right term- it's very much a literary device, and would seem a little out of place in normal conversation. I added an etymology, which should clarify things a bit. Chuck Entz (talk) 08:01, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a {{literary}} tag. I don't mind if someone wants to add an {{uncommon}} tag. I see Eq has (correctly, IMO) modified the etymology. - -sche (discuss) 16:44, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
