It seems that this article would benefit of attention of somebody who really knows what he's talking about. 

At least in Wikipedia articles the definition is clearly stricter than the one written here: according to them an arm without a spike and hook is not a halberd but a war-axe. The picture looks more like an assortment of polearms than that of halberds Hekaheka 23:31, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]


Is there any chance the spelling "halbard" could be correct? Thanks.

Etymology[edit]

I've read that "halm" part stands for the the knife on top. Kampy 11:40, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
