  • Keep, it's non-obvious that "have" can be used in this way. For example, one's wouldn't say "have a masturbation". Kappa 11:52, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
cf. take a shit, up the page. Kappa 12:11, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Keep - how else are we Americans supposed to learn what the heck you're talking about on the other side of the pond? --Connel MacKenzie T C 15:32, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Keep, idiomatic. Davilla 13:50, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Delete. This is just one of the normal functions of to have and should be covered there. The same as in have a shit, have a piss, have a shower, have a break, have a smoko - equivalent to the US take a ... but with a non-matching set of objects. — Hippietrail 22:29, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
    • You say "non-matching"...that makes them idiomatic, right? --Connel MacKenzie T C 16:05, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
I'd take the stance that this makes these uses of have and take idiomatic. These are members of a class often labelled key words because they have so many senses and uses. — Hippietrail 21:11, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
This is apples and oranges. have a wank passes the fancy dress test, have a smoke passes the fried egg test, have a shower potentially passes the Egyptian pyramid test, and "have a break" passes none of them. Davilla 20:56, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Keep. I have a multilingual gut feeling that they are very much worth including, as the terms mentioned by Hippietrail pretty much all take a different verb in Dutch, and probably in other languages as well. —Vildricianus 16:57, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Consensus keep. Have removed rfd tag. Andrew massyn 15:12, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
