Note, first use of omniscent on the web is Omniscent and seems to be a proper noun name of a software application.

That is 0.87% of googles are for omniscent.

<grin> That's nearly exactly the question I had earlier. The answer apparently is: a "one true spelling" is POV. There are no "misspellings", but merely alternate ways of spelling the same word, and so we must direct people to the most standard spelling while admitting all spellings are potentially viable, especially if they have notable use in print. - Amgine/talk 23:26, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
