Is this a real word? I thought the word was triskedekaphobia or something like that. — Hippietrail 10:50, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Triskaidekaphobia is the fear of the number 13. This would indeed be the fear of Friday the 13th, Friday being, roughly transliterated, "Paraskeve" in Greek.
- As to whether it is genuine, it is listed as spelled here on Wikipedia and in online lists of phobias, such as , but how many of these are copied from one another without checking their validity is anybody's guess. — Paul G 12:42, 19 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- By necessity, medical terms are created as they are needed from latin and greek. Therefore if there is really a fear of Fridays the Thirteenth and if the Greek roots are correct, then this would be considered a real word to a psychiatrist.

some wonderfully silly person changed it to "fear of dumbasses". changed to something resembling a dictionary entry, someone more skilled then i needs to rectify it to a correct article. --184.108.40.206 13:42, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
