So I'm supposed to pronounce this "polly" because the Brits have taken over WP? WP gets stupider every day. --67.190.183.219 (Buddy13) 06:40, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wiktionary is run by volunteers. We do our best to add pronunciations in all major accents, but there are some words we haven't had time to add US (or in other cases, UK) pronunciation transcriptions of yet. If you'd like to add the US pronunciation, add it! Are you familiar with IPA? - -sche (discuss) 06:59, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand pronunciation symbols so don't know what it is supposed to sound like, but nobody in the UK pronounces the word "polly" - the "r" is definitely voiced. SemperBlotto (talk) 07:09, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
