"Polar blend"[edit]
Could someone explain the meaning of "polar blend" as a musical term? I think that that would be somewhat 'highly sophisticated mixture'. - Xbspiro 06:28, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
- You didn't quote the text where you saw it, but it doesn't seem to be a standard phrase. I imagine the writer meant either polar opposites were involved, or it sounded cold and chilly. Equinox ◑ 19:08, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
Possible missing sense[edit]
Chambers 1908 also defines polar as "having a common meeting-point", and polar forces as "forces that act in pairs and in different directions, as in magnetism". Equinox ◑ 19:07, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
