But do you dial a touch-tone phone? No, you press numbers on a on a pad. I know, someone addressed this already. (For other readers, see dial.) But does someone know someone who used to use a hand-crank phone? Maybe the word "dial" was used in this way too? But I digress. . .
I think I was more concerned about the principle of using hand-crank as an adjective, like touch-tone and rotary-dial and pulse dialling. Cheers, --Stranger 15:31, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
