Etymology[edit]

I've added the etymology. It is unrelated to soon. It was originally the adverb corresponding to schön. The meaning developed in phrases like "Alles ist schon bereit", which originally meant "Everything is beautifully prepared", then "Everything is suitably prepared", "Everything is completely prepared", and finally "Everything is already prepared." —Angr 20:56, 7 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
