There is an entry on MathWorld for septendecillion here. The word is further used here. Here, it is remarked that the number +10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 ‘has 55 zeros - one zero higher than Septendecillion’. Here, it is explained that One Septendecillion Years From Now [...] The total mass of the universe [will be] somewhere between 200 and 500 septendecillion grams). Here, it is explained that there are ‘roughly 43 septendecillion [...] possible voting permutations if 3,000 students vote (Single Transferable Voting is pretty complicated!)’. Refining the above examples to make a firm distinction between use and mention, this is unequivocally an example of ‘use’, not merely a ‘mention’ : there are ‘roughly 43 septendecillion [...] possible voting permutations if 3,000 students vote (Single Transferable Voting is pretty complicated!)’.
This is also use, specifically the statement that sometime in the distant future the ‘total mass of the universe [will be] somewhere between 200 and 500 septendecillion grams’.
This mathematical discussion of the ‘Google problem’ also uses the word in explaining the and outlining the task of converting numerals to words.

This is also interesting : ‘But, if you ask me, Gideon Polya personally murdered 97 septendecillion helpless creatures (including baby dolphins). This is the cost [...]’.
