Talk:split hairs

I am not sure of Wiktionary's policy, but in Ian Fleming's 1953 novel Casino Royale, James Bond gives the phrase "mais n'enculons pas des mouches" as a "vulgar way of saying we shan't split hairs." The literal translation is pretty graphic, but since the wikipedia article links here as an explanation for the phrase I think it is fair that it be included in the translations. If a native French-speaker could clarify whether the phrase is still in general use I would be grateful, otherwise I suppose it should have an obsolete tag or just be removed. 119.12.186.156 11:27, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
