Declension of "mehr"

This page has a declension table for "mehr". I'm only learning German, but it includes some words that I've never seen and don't think exist, like "mehre", and also the word "mehrer" which means something else altogether. Is this a mistake by one of the page-making bots? Should there be a usage note saying "mehr" is not declined at all? Rkaup (talk) 21:19, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

I deleted the declension table because it contained wrong information ("mehr" is never declined, as you said), and misleading information (strong singular declension of "viel" does exist, but is rare). I'm not able to make a correct table, so it is better to have no table instead of having one that gives people wrong ideas.

Btw, while everything else you wrote is correct, "mehrer" is not a word either. You mean mehrere (always plural).

The declension table for the comparative forms of the word "viel" should only contain the word "mehr" with no typical adjective endings added. Rkaup (talk) 22:04, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Declension

There were several discussions before (see above). Maybe mehr is indeclinable nowaydays, but that's no reason for excluding older forms (at least if it is stated that they're older).
Also: There are entries like mehrer which don't have a label like dated/archaic/obsolete and say that they're inflected forms of viel, but here isn't any declension table. So something is missing here.
Here's an inflection: [canoo.net/inflection/viel:A?lookup=caseSensitive] (& [1]) [Note: while canoo also includes traditional spellings with ß instead of ss, it usually doesn't include obsolete/archaic forms].
Here is what older grammar books and dictionaries say:
