Is this a noun or a proper noun? Please give the spelling ("Waldo" or "waldo") underneath the "Noun" header (changing this to "Proper noun" if appropriate). Is there a plural? What is it? — Paul G 11:44, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)

It should be treated as a common noun, and is so used in Wikipedia and in this article: [1]. The plural is 'waldoes' on the same pattern as 'tomatoes'. It's used in this way in the original work. --Drgrigg 12:05, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
