Growing up in East London, I have several verbs of becoming in my idiolect which end in -n, e.g. awaken, wisen up, loosen, tighten. With some, it’s only in the past participle: slown down, shown, swollen, proven. I know that most writing doesn’t use a lot of these. Correctrix (talk) 12:24, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
