How might one pronounce this word?

I always imagined it rhymed with gotcha.


-Danack@basereality.com- Pronounced very similarly to gotcha. I added the correct pronuncation and removed the comment about it being pronounced with a J as that was incorrect.

Yes, it's correct. "What cheer" is still used in Geordie (often with localised dialect spelling, such as "wot cheor"). See also w:What Cheer, Iowa. -Stelio (talk) 12:39, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
