Usage[edit]

Used to create sense lines for inflected forms of Hebrew prepositions. May be combined with a translation, if you're into that sort of thing. Also adds entries to Category:Hebrew preposition forms.

Parameters[edit]

The template name itself is basically a parameter:

  • use {{he-Form of prep}} to start with a capital "F"
  • use {{he-form of prep}} to start with a lowercase "f"

Additionally, it supports the following real parameters:

  • unnamed (1=…) — required — the lemma form (the bare preposition).
  • wv — lemma form, with vowels, if the vowelized lemma form is spelled the same as the unvowelized lemma form
  • dwv — lemma form, with vowels, if the vowelized lemma form is defective and the unvowelized is excessive
  • tr=… — required — the transliteration of the lemma form (see Wiktionary:About Hebrew)
  • p=1, p=2, or p=3 — required — person (first/second/third)
  • g=m or g=f — required unless p=1 — gender (masculine/feminine)
  • n=s or n=p — required — number (singular/plural)
  • .=. — adds a period (full stop) to the end, inside the <span class="use-with-mention"> tags — for the (literally) punctilious. (The non-punctilious can just add the period after the template call.)
  • defective=1 or excessive=1 — optional — used if the current spelling is either defective or excessive (respectively)
  • cap=uc or cap=lc — optional — used by {{he-Form of prep}}, listed here only for completeness' sake
  • ns={{NAMESPACE}} — optional — for testing purposes only, listed here only for completeness' sake
If any required parameter is missing (unnamed, tr, p, sometimes-g, or n), it adds the entry to Category:Hebrew terms needing attention.
