he-adj-form ? indef.

The following documentation is located at Template:he-adj-form/documentation. [edit]

Synopsis[edit]

This template is used to create the inflection line — the line right below the heading — in entries for Hebrew adjective forms, other than the masculine-singular-indefinite form (which uses {{he-adj}}). The template accepts a few parameters so it can link to the entry for the adjective's masculine-singular-indefinite form (which typically has more information), and so it can identify the current form (e.g. "feminine plural definite form").

For example, at קלה, this wiki-code:

{{he-adj-form|tr=kalá|wv=קַלָּה|g=f|n=s|main=קל|mainwv=קַל|fp=קלות|fpwv=קַלּוֹת}}

produces this output:

קַלָּה (kalá) f sg indef. (m sg indef. קַל; f pl קַלּוֹת)

Parameters[edit]

The template takes four mandatory parameters:

  • tr= — a transliteration of the headword into the Latin alphabet, as described at Wiktionary:About Hebrew. If this is omitted, the article is added to Category:Hebrew terms lacking transliteration.
  • g= — the gender of the headword, either m or f.
  • num=, synonymously n= — the number of the headword, either s for singular or p for plural.

It also takes a number of optional (but mostly desired) parameters:

  • wv=, synonymously head= — the headword with vowels, for display purposes. If the headword consists of multiple words, this parameter allows each individual word to be linkified; to display vowels in this case, pipe-links must be used.
  • def= — the definiteness of the headword, either no or yes (default no).
  • main= — the "main form" of the adjective; that is, its masculine singular indefinite form. Not needed if the definition line indicates the main form.
    • mainwv= — the "main form" with vowels, for display purposes.
  • fs — the feminine singular form, only for use in masculine singular entries and feminine plural entries
    • fswvfs with vowels
  • fp — the feminine plural form, only for use in feminine singular entries
    • fpwvfp with vowels
  • pausal, pausalwv, pausaltr — respectively, the Biblical Hebrew pausal form without vowels (if it differs from the current pagename), the same with vowels, and the same in transliteration
