Usage[edit]

This template is used by Template:he-onym; see Template:he-onym/documentation for information about that template.

Parameters[edit]

To make a listed term or phrase link to a language-specific Wiktionary entry, positional parameter {{{1}}} is used to specify the ISO 639 language code and positional parameter {{{2}}} is used to specify the entry name to which to link. If the listed term or phrase should also show alternate text, positional parameter {{{3}}} is used. If the listed term or phrase is to be followed by an English gloss translation, the parameter {{{gloss=}}} is used. Note that {{{2}}} can be omitted, even when showing the gloss.

If the listed term or phrase should not be linked to a Wiktionary entry, positional parameter {{{2}}} is omitted. If the listed term or phrase is written in a non-Roman script, named parameter {{{sc}}} is used to indicate the script code and {{{tr}}} to indicate the Latin (Roman) script transcription.

To create a language-neutral link for the term or to link to a section other than that for a language using an ISO language code, the positional parameter {{{1}}} is omitted; optionally, the #section syntax is used.
