This template takes advantage of the significant convergence of Latvian phonology with that of Livonian.

Familiarity with Livonian (at the very least Latvian) phonology is expected.

Do not use when a word has an õ in stressed (first syllable) position. Do not use if word has an ä.

The speech synthesizer's map has the "legacy" letters ō and ŗ which means they can be used, the first tends to yield very good results, the latter can be off sometimes (usually if it's closing the syllable.)
