Usage[edit]

This template automatically creates a citation to the Tok Pisin Bible. It produces a non-durable link, but that is just so the original can be viewed; it does constitute a durable citation under the CFI.

The first three parameters are required: the book of the Bible in question, the chapter, and the verse. The full name of the book must be given unless it is in the Pentateuch; the template accepts the short forms Gen, Exod, Lev, Num, and Deut. The chapter number and verse number are given separately. The last (fourth) parameter is optional but highly recommended: the text of the verse itself. The headword, when it appears in the verse, should be bolded.

Example[edit]

For the term skai (sky; heaven):

  • 1989, Buk Baibel long Tok Pisin, Bible Society of Papua New Guinea, Genesis 1:1 (translation here):
Bipo bipo tru God i mekim kamap skai na graun na olgeta samting i stap long en.
