- right on/tx. nice to meet you, dcljr. i did B's subsections. i did it manually; did you, too?, or is there some way to automate? i'd be happy to split the rest of the letters with you if not. ..i wish MediaWiki published something like an API, or had some sort of scripting facility. someday, maybe.. next up, i'd like to see the intro text get simpler to take in at a single blink by use of formatting and editing. i like where you took what i'd left for text. gonna tweak a bit now. -:)Ozzyslovechild 02:30, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

- Yeah, I did it "manually". But since the text editor I'm using has pretty powerful search/replace and macro features, it went pretty quickly. I can continue the conversion work if it's too time-consuming for you to do it. One thing though: note how I've shortened the external links a bit, from:

- I use Emacs for heavy-duty editing, although I only use a very tiny amount of its functionality; I got used to it when I was in grad school, so I've stuck with it since then. For lighter editing, I use the default text editor for the GNOME desktop (Linux), called gedit; it works better with other programs like Firefox (i.e., using the same copy-and-paste mechanism). Anyway, back to this page: I don't understand what you mean by "Gotcha re the other". Please clarify. - dcljr 22:56, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Could you add a link to ARTFL? It's the "good" on-line version of Webster's 1913.

- Could do. I was loosely thinking to rerun the program periodically to auto-scrub those entries that have already had articles created for them. Could add that next run, as well as figure out how to have the output include the section/second-letter breaks. Only concern would be a: relevance, but i've seen your sig behave reasonably enough to not worry that's a worry, and b: bandwith/disk re the extra chars generated for each word and, and the trickle-down that each save to come later would necessitate. but i don't actually think the latter is much of a concern, so sure. some expert regex-ing could prolly just insert it into the current text of dictlist ppages, but senator, i'm no larry wall. oughta curiosity, what's the short story on the "good" in the statement, "It's the "good" on-line version of Webster's 1913"? Made very brief googlings, but didn't see anything about "bad" versions of the 1913 dictionary. -)Ozzyslovechild 02:15, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Preload templates[edit]
Should this have a separate tutorial section on using the preload templates? The "instructions" on the right hand box-thing are almost misleading, in the way they instruct to use the "hard way." --Connel MacKenzie 03:53, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
