This template isn't used anywhere, and there is now a (better?) alternative by using Module:language utilities. —CodeCat 12:05, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

It really wasn't. Families are only really used in three places: the language categories, the tree of family categories, and the derived-from categories. Apparently, all three of those just called the /family template directly and did not use this template. —CodeCat 19:40, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
