Modifications[edit]

How does one modify the text for a given PoS in a given language?

Also, the text takes up a great deal of space on the page, repeating the list of categories that appears below. DCDuring TALK 14:32, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have anything to say about Old French adjectives, you may create an Appendix:Old French adjectives, which will be automatically linked to the Category:Old French adjectives. This scheme works properly for other languages and parts of speech as well. --Daniel. 19:08, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I know I can create one, but that is no substitute for some short text. If poscatboiler doesn't offer that capability it will become less used. DCDuring TALK 17:06, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please point one or more specific categories where you think that different descriptions may be suitable --Daniel. 06:42, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This template doesn't handle the "PoS" headers "Phrase" and "Proverb". (It also doesn't handle Idiom, but perhaps it shouldn't. DCDuring TALK 17:06, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The categories "phrases", "proverbs" and "idioms" are handled by {{phrasecatboiler}}. --Daniel. 13:02, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Requests[edit]

Shouldn't object pronoun and subject pronoun be on this list? If not, why not? Mglovesfun (talk) 11:36, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I quite like how Category:Portuguese subject pronouns sounds. But for consistency, I'm thinking on the alternative Category:Portuguese nominative personal pronouns. Would you agree? --Daniel. 21:21, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd have thought that subject pronoun was the most common name for this in English? Anyone care to provide evidence? Mglovesfun (talk) 21:26, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think that "nominative pronoun" would be the choice for such pronouns in languages with various declensions. As far as I know, "subject pronoun" and "object pronoun" are indeed the most common English terms to refer to such pronouns in English, Spanish, French, etc. Then I've added the ones you requested to the list. The code {{poscatboiler|fr|subject pronouns}}, for instance, should be working properly now. --Daniel. 13:52, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alright I would do this myself but the coding is insane. Please add X negative pronouns (like Category:Serbo-Croatian negative pronouns). — [ R·I·C ] opiaterein04:03, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you added negative pronouns to the list yourself. You could analyze the "insane" coding very well, with one exception: Category:Serbo-Croatian negative pronouns was not being shown in Category:Serbo-Croatian pronouns. So I've further edited the list. --Daniel. 13:52, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Gerund[edit]

Why are gerunds not supported? SemperBlotto 09:33, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Preverb[edit]

Add preverbs too --Wikstosa 10:12, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Updates to reflect Special:WantedCategories[edit]

Does anyone add missing subpages to clear out the multiply wanted categories? The Turkish ones are wanted on well more than 1000 pages. DCDuring TALK 13:55, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Turkish categories probably shouldn't be created anyway. For some reason someone thought it would be a good idea to create one category for every possible type of form, which I don't really see any point in. —CodeCat 13:57, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I had a look. It appears that User:Sae1962 is responsible for all of them. He created a whole bunch of form-of templates and had them all categorise differently. Why am I not surprised... —CodeCat 13:59, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Discourse and modal particles[edit]

Hi, I'm working on Ancient Greek. Could someone add discourse and modal particles as a subcategory of particles? I don't know how the module associated with this template works. — Eru·tuon 02:46, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
