My most recent edit[edit]

I just did this. The idea is that if either of the first and second unnamed parameters aren't used, the template should categorize in a cleanup category. I used this template as it's the least used of all the translation templates, so the least disruptive should an error occur. Thoughts? See also {{isLanguageCode}}, could be useful also to check the validity of the first parameter. Mglovesfun (talk) 21:33, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Something broke[edit]

Noticed it at [[nail]]. Translation items which use {{}} have a bogus }} added. I suspect the tenth line needs to be removed. Keφr 13:47, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed it a minute ago. — Ungoliant (Falai) 13:49, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, that was quick. Just noticed. Could you add {{documentation}}, by the way? Keφr 13:50, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. To be honest I don’t really know what’s the point of this template. — Ungoliant (Falai) 13:54, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It is for linking translations for languages without own Wiktionaries. Or did you mean {{documentation}}? It transcludes documentation from a subpage, which can then have a lower protection level than the proper template. Keφr 14:00, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks. (I meant tø). I’ll add a documentation when I have time. — Ungoliant (Falai) 14:02, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think Template:t/documentation explains it well enough already. I have created a redirect at Template:tø/documentation. Just add the box. Keφr 14:08, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing double-translit, e.g. Bashkir: һәр (här) (här), Ossetian: фӕстаг (fæstag) (fæstag)[edit]

Double translit appears on every#Translations Bashkir: һәр (hər) (translit "här" appears twice) and last#Translations Ossetian: фӕстаг (fæstag) (translit "fæstag" appears twice). --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 10:07, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what you've been doing to the template, but it's because it's using both the manually input translit (whatever string tr= is supplied with) as well as the output of Module:xx-translit. You need to set one to override the other, presumably so that {{#if:{{{tr|}}}|{{{tr}}}|{{#invoke:{{{1}}}-translit|tr|{{{2}}}}} or something similar happens. That exact code won't work, I think, but that's the logic pathway you should aim for. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 15:38, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
 Done. — Ungoliant (Falai) 17:12, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The code was tested on the related templates, where the automatic transliteration is only added when there is no manual one. Not sure, why it didn't work here (it had this part: {{#if:{{{tr|}}}|...). Thank you for fixing. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 23:31, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the discussion. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 01:45, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
