Gothic romanization sources

That is far from foolproof. The Gothic bible is already a translation from Greek, and will not match a translation from Greek to English perfectly. You may get a translation that translates the spirit of the quotation, but not the letter. The English translation might not even contain a word with the same meaning as the Gothic we are trying to translate! (Consider for example that Gothic uses a word meaning "trust", yet the English translation has "have hope" or similar. Not quite the same!)

Hm, what if the auto-imported citations were tagged with a template like the Webster or Tbot templates, and manually reviewed at leisure? I imagine the good imports would outnumber the problematic ones.

It would be better, but there are thousands and thousands of entries, and only a few Gothic editors (mostly me, I think), so we'd have to accept that the vast majority of these imported citations will still be there in 5 years. (Just compare, how many Tbot entries do we still have? That's for languages with many editors, and Tbot last ran 2 years ago!) And I don't think that is a good thing. You can suggest it at BP but I can't support it.
