13.7 billion years ago, an ear-shatteringly gargantuan bang forced an entire universe into being. After a series of complex reactions, we find ourselves contemplating this occurrence on a small blue-green body, orbiting a giant nuclear furnace about 90 million miles away. How did this happen? Why do we find ourselves in such an arguably odd situation?
