I like to keep it fresh but my work here mostly centers around:
Especially in terms of lexicon, phonology and morphology. A lot of my activity here revolves around the creation and improvement of Spanish entries.
Help toward making the following categories a bit more exhaustive is greatly appreciated:
Not really an expert but I have enough free time to check out some manuscripts online from time to time.
Slowly and not as steadily as I would hope I've helped to expand:
Most of my modest endeavors in this language can mostly be found in:
Pronunciation and phonetic transcription
My comfort zone encompasses mainly English, Spanish and French, followed by German, Dutch, Icelandic, Latin and Classical Nahuatl. As somewhat of an IPA/X-SAMPA aficionado I contribute with transcriptions for these languages more or less regularly, as well as helping out with pronunciation keys for some of the languages I'm more phonetically familiar with (I began work on Appendix:Classical Nahuatl pronunciation and Appendix:Spanish pronunciation, for example). Having grown up in the southwestern United States my cot-caught merger will sometimes get the best of me, but please bear with me.
Aside from transcriptions I group together words (mostly Spanish ones) into rhyme pages from time to time (see Category:Spanish rhymes), and work with (again, mostly Spanish) terms that partake in homophony (see Category:Spanish terms with homophones).
Latin and Ancient Greek etyma feature prominently in my contributions, but I'm also interested in Old English, Old French, Old Irish, Old Norse and Old Spanish; whether they're source languages or the ones doing the borrowing.
Thanks for dropping by. If anything's up there's always my user talk page.
