Hiding Information[edit]

Hello. Welcome to Wiktionary. I've reverted your edit at aunt because it seemed like you were trying to keep information from our readers. Please do not obfuscate information so as to comply with your own personal biases. Such behaviour is harmful to Wiktionary, and will not be tolerated.

If you think that I have made a mistake, or if you have any questions, feel free to contact me at my talk page.

Thank you for the understanding. Tharthan (talk) 15:08, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad to see that your edit was in good faith and not meant in ill will. However, the pronunciation of the word "aunt" varies significantly enough that it is on par with the two pronunciations of "route". As such, we have to be careful with how we phrase things anent that word. The current phrasing has worked quite well to explain how the word is pronounced in which areas of the English speaking world. Tharthan (talk) 15:20, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
