• Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.

• Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
• If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
• If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.

bean sprout

Hi there. Isn't it always (deprecated template usage) bean sprouts (in the plural). And aren't they the sprouts of the (deprecated template usage) mung bean rather than the (deprecated template usage) soy bean? SemperBlotto (talk) 15:30, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

As for #1 it is definitely possible to take a single bean sprout and name it as a singular object. But I must admit that #2 is confusing me also, so I welcome you to correct or expand the necessary entries: --IM Serious (talk) 15:40, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

Oh, I just see, you're the same expert who corrected my attempt at tegenvallertjes - I am too new here to know the best policy and macro tricks for activating plural nouns and how it is im- or possible to cover singular und plural under one heading: --IM Serious (talk) 15:52, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
