Welcome and a question..[edit]

Why are you putting "." in the words that you are editing? eg: to.mar? Please take a moment to review the English Wiktionary formatting guidelines, they may be different than those you are familiar with.

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Versageek 03:43, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

syllabic divisions[edit]

We don't use any syllabic divisions outside of the pronunciation section. In the pronunciation section, syllabification should be done according to the pronunciation representation you are using (IPA, SAMPA primarily, AHD less often). The inflection line is simply the word. --Versageek 04:08, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Headers[edit]

A minor point: please use ==Portuguese== instead of == {{pt}} ==. Thanks, and thank you for your contributions! DAVilla 20:55, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder: You are still using {{pt}} in headers. Please use the language name instead. --EncycloPetey 21:45, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This conflicts with our basic philosophy of keeping all the red links, so we can see what forms need to be added. I added this to RFD, please don't use it any more; it will just need to get undone. Robert Ullmann 16:29, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All of the forms should be linked; something that links with the section might be helpful. (pt-link? I don't know.) Robert Ullmann 16:33, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
