ਜੀ ਆਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ (Welcome) to the English Wiktionary!

I see you have made contributions to many different Wiki projects and am glad to see you are making contributions here, too.

You might be interested in Category:Punjabi_language for Punjabi.

The English Wiktionary has many conventions (rules) different from other Wiki projects. One is that we ask contributors to add a "Babel box" to their user page to show which languages they speak and how fluent they are. For example:

{{Babel|en|es-4}}

creates a Babel box indicating native fluency in English and a level "4" in Spanish.

Unfortunately, we do not have the fluency levels translated into Punjabi, yet. I would like to ask if you could help us do that.

If you have any questions, you can ask here or go to our forums (community portal link at left).

By the way, I saw your question about the different language versions of Wiktionary on Metaknowledge's page. That confused me quite a bit when I first came here :)

Anyway, best regards, and I look forward to more contributions from you! --BB12 (talk) 05:40, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for welcomming (ਜੀ ਆਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ) and what you say about my question on Metaknowledge's talk page? (plz edit it there) and what confused you, my question? --tari buttar (talk) 06:16, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think he's saying that he was confused the same way when he was a new editor here. --Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 06:18, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I also thought so. Anyway, have you answered my question on your talk page? (plz answer there) --tari buttar (talk) 06:22, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I have. Did you check to see if I had answered? --Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 06:25, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I was confused in the same way as you were. But it makes sense that each language version provides definitions in that language. --BB12 (talk) 07:43, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
