Including these template calls into your article has the following effects:

  • {{etystub}} - This stub template is now prohibited. Whenever found, it should be replaced by simply adding [[Category:Etymology stub]] to the bottom of the page. The best thing to do, of course, is to fix the problem of lacking an etymology.
  • {{pronstub}} - This stub template is now prohibited. Whenever found, it should be replaced by simply adding [[Category:Pronunciation stub]] to the bottom of the page. The best thing to do, of course, is to fix the problem of lacking a pronunciation key.
  • {{stub}} - marks a page as a stub article. Includes text to indicate that the page is a stub. Not yet sure what else it does / triggers.
  • {{webster}} - includes the text "This page has been imported from the 1913 edition of Webster's Dictionary, which is now free of copyright and hence in the public domain. The definitions may be significantly out of date, and more recent senses will be completely missing." And also adds the category code "Webster 1913". This is intended for pages that were brought in mechanically in bulk without any review or editing. The {{webster}} template should be removed once the page is reviewed and brought up to date.
  • {{R from misspelling}} - Used for a redirect from a misspelling or typo.
  • {{rfdef}} - Used for requesting a definition for a blank article (e.g. when reverting a new vandalism entry, and where you know it is a word, but are momentarily at a loss how to word the definition.)
  • {{Rndc}} - Ugly orange warning banner for sticking onto blanked articles, that someone blanked because of copyright violations. Request New Definition due to Copyright violation
