Tongan Request[edit]

Can anybody tell me what "fifita" means in Tongan? (if at all) Jakeybean 12:02, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"My Love"[edit]

My boyfriend is Chinese and as i'm very language curious i asked him what "my love" (as in person. "You, my love") would be and he doesn't know what it would go to so if someone could please help that'd be very much appreciated. I did an online translator and came up with chinese-traditional of 我的愛 which the pinyin is roughly "wǒ de ài" translating into i(me-myself) of love but i wish to be sure if that's correct or not... I'd like it in Cantonese, Mandarin, AND japanese (romaji and character) if possible. For chinese, please include pinyin and chinese-traditional. Merci. -mari

No, not that. You could use:
Mandarin: 愛人 (àiren), 情人 (qíngrén) or 意中人 (yì zhōngrén)
Japanese: 恋人 (こいびと, koibito), 情人 (じょうじん, jōjin), 思い者 (おもいもの, omoimono), 意中の人 (いちゅうのひと, ichū no hito)

Thanks so much. -mari

Bosnian translation please.[edit]

Can I please get the following sentence translated into Bosnian:

"I hope you have a wonderful day"

Thank you

Želim vam ugodan dan. --Ivan Štambuk 16:17, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

French formulaic/idiomatic phrases[edit]

  1. "dis donc" or "dis donc!"
  2. "à vous vous"

translation?

"dis donc" (do tell). In "à vous vous" I think there is something missing. —Stephen 19:38, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I also noticed that "bravo" has no entry for French. It's a cognate in several different languages, and I'm fairly sure this is the case for French. If someone could verify this and/or add this to the entry for "bravo", then I'd say "Bravo".

Japanese Line Translation[edit]

Greetings dear member of wiktionary,

I would like to make a translation request, the line:

I am looking forward to your humble reply.

According to my Japanese friend it means "The battle is repeated in a myth". ~ Dodde 14:12, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
