User:Jackofclubs for admin[edit]

  • Nomination: I hereby nominate User:Jackofclubs as a local English Wiktionary Administrator. They've been here nearly a year now, have a solid list of new entries to their credit, and a predilection for patrolling, category maintenance, and all that other boring administration stuff (which is made much easier and more effective by admin status). Not incredibly chatty, but the few conversations seem to demonstrate responsiveness. Besides that, I stand by my position that a good admin doesn't necessarily have to be a big talker. -Atelaes λάλει ἐμοί 22:52, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  3. Weak support. I haven't interacted with him much, but he seems to know what he's doing. Equinox 22:47, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  4. Support. Notwithstanding a few contributions I highly disapproved of in the past, I have a feeling that the candidate will soon learn to be a pretty good admin. --Duncan 19:31, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  5. Support Ƿidsiþ 11:20, 27 April 2009 (UTC) I think he's pretty much there.[reply]

Oppose[edit]

  1. Oppose. Nothing I can put my finger on, but I get bad vibes from the nominee's contributions list. (Not vibes of malice, just of inexperience or something.)—msh210 17:14, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Oppose. I haven't had enough interaction to be comfortable supporting the candidate at this time. Maybe in another few months. —Neskaya kanetsv 17:01, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Abstain[edit]

  1. Abstain DAVilla 06:23, 5 May 2009 (UTC) This vote comes after the close, but I figured I may as well make it explicit. Nominations for admins are best when one is surprised to learn that the user has not already been granted those privileges. I have neither the heart to oppose nor the confidence to support, but that choice aside, I do welcome all who make this project their own.[reply]
Well put. Same here. —RuakhTALK 15:45, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
