Shouldn’t the examples given of what the templates do be substed in order to avoid them appearing in their respective lists? † Raifʻhār Doremítzwr 15:42, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

The tea room template has specific date[edit]
thus not giving a general link to the tea room, but to a specific archive section of it. --Utonsal (talk) 21:30, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Utonsal That's because it's used for a specific discussion, which is always to be found on one of the monthly sub-pages- there should never ever be a discussion on the main Tea Room page. These aren't archive pages, per se: the most recent ones are transcluded in the main Tea Room page, and all the discussions go on the sub-pages rather than the main page. This keeps the Tea Room page from getting too big, and everything is self-archiving. The only drawback is that you have to know which monthly page a discussion is on- thus the month and year parameters in the template. Chuck Entz (talk) 21:55, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
