Etymology[edit]

Borrowed from Neapolitan arrapà, derive from "rapa" (turnip) because when the penis is in erection, the glans assume the rigidity and the size like a turnip.

arrapàre (first-person singular present arràpo, first-person singular past historic arrapài, past participle arrapàto, auxiliary (transitive) avére or (intransitive) èssere)

  1. (transitive, vulgar) to turn on, to arouse sexually
