English[edit]

Noun[edit]

birth plan (plural birth plans)

  1. A protocol, agreed between mother, midwives and doctors, listing options such as birth companion, position at birth, pain relief etc.
Per my birth plan, I don't want an episiotomy; I prefer to tear naturally. No matter how much I may beg or scream, do not offer me an epidural.
