English[edit]

Noun[edit]

crowd catch (plural crowd catches)

  1. (cricket) A catch of a ball which was played into the ground near the batsman and bounced up to a fielder. Spectators who couldn't see from a distance that it was played into the ground may think the batsman is out (whereas he or she is not, of course).
