fangot (plural fangots)
- (obsolete or historical) A unit formerly used for a bundle of silk, especially silk from Aleppo, of varying or unclear weight.
Usage notes[edit]
According to Webster's Dictionary, 1913, it was approximately equal one to three hundredweight, therefore about 150 kilograms.
