Aleutian disease in mink is a spontaneous, transmissible disease which can be used as a model for studying the pathogenetic mechanisms in certain immunological and connective tissue diseases. Hypergammaglobulinæmia is a constant feature of the disease, and the severity of the natural and experimental disease appears to parallel the rise in γ-globulin.
