From Ancient Greek παιδεραστία (love of boys) < παιδεραστής (pederast) < παῖς (genitive παιδός) (child, son, boy) + ἐραστής (lover) < ἐράσθαι (to lοve) < ἐράω (to love passionately, to long for).
