  1. Brosimum guianense, an Amazonian tree having hard, speckled wood that resembles snakeskin; used in musical instruments.
  2. Acacia xiphophylla, an Australian tree with curving, snake-like limbs.
  3. Any of various North American shrubs of the genus Colubrina, often specifically Colubrina texensis.
