  1. Alternative spelling of time zone. A vertical region of the globe that somewhat corresponds to longitude, that uses the same time.

Usage notes [edit]

In the US, timezone seems to be favored considerably (unless comparing different specific zones), while the UK seems more likely to use time zone.
