veinstuff (countable and uncountable, plural veinstuffs)

  1. (mining) Minerals found in a vein, of lesser value than ores.
    • 1900, Lyman Child Wooster, The Geological Story of Kansas, page 59:
      The less valuable minerals are called veinstuffs, and the more valuable are termed vein ores. The more common veinstuffs are calcite, quartz, heavy spar, and fluorspar.
