1. A skiing position in which the skier leans forward while keeping their heels in contact with the skis.
   • 1936, Charles Nancrede Proctor, Skiing: Fundamentals, Equipment, and Advanced Technique, page 91:

     It is not enough to twist the body slightly in anticipation of planting the pole; the runner must be in a position of extreme vorlage before increasing the forward lean by reaching forward with the pole.
