whoopie cushion (plural whoopie cushions)

  1. A small, rubber bag with a flap, used in a practical joke. The bag is filled with air and placed on a seat where the unsuspecting victim will sit; once he/she sits on the device, the bag deflates and makes a sound similar to flatulence.
