From αἴξ (aíx, goat). Considered present in the toponym Ancient Greek Αἴγιλα f (Aígila), Αἰγιλία f (Aigilía) which is also attested as Mycenaean Greek 𐁀𐀑𐀨 (ha-ki-ra) in Na 856.
