Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Bulgar ايرنى (êrne) itself borrowed from Persian آدینه (âdine, friday).[1][2]

Cognate with Turkmen anna, Uyghur ئازنا (azna) and Bashkir аҙна (aźna).
